Juice is terrific. If Jay Lehman was on this team, Jay wouldn't score nearly as much as Juice but everybody else on the team would be much better. They would work to get open because they would know he would get them the ball and also because Jay would kick their ass, figuratively speaking, if they didn't. But that still doesn't take away from the fact Juice is terrific.

nicely put. lehman was a perfect fit for those teams. we'd probably barely remember him if he played on lousy eck or hiss-cr+ss-hiss team.

i think reiser played a bit with epperson, maybe gast and german. those we're good teams but talent wasn't as deep as the glory years.

Reiser played with Epperson for three years. Also with Burnham, Knuckles and Lehman one year each.

Won the 1997 MAC regular season championship. That team was stacked, too. Antonio Daniels, Jay Larranaga, Anthony Stacy, Demar Moore, Tony Reid, Dave Esterkamp, and Kirk Cowen. The whole MAC was stacked. I'm trying my best to not be a homer here, but that team should have been an at-large. I remember Dickie V going off on the selection show about BG not being selected. As I have said in the past and like most of you I have been a UT fan for a long times attending games for 47 years and almost every home game for the last 38 years. Unless you count Craig Thames as a point guard and I don't Juice it the best point guard UT has had in the last 47 years.

I was surprised that team got left out of the NCAA. Was really unfair for a deserving team who had a great season. But didn't close strong.

I don't want to sound like Lehman's personal cheerleader, but do you realize that except for a five overtime loss to CMU the last game of his freshman year, he would've won the MAC all four years he played? I understand he didn't do it singlehandedly, but still ... OK, I admit it, I am Jay Lehman, so maybe my opinion doesn't count :)
