I was somewhat worried...
about what the turnout would be for today's Tip-In Club luncheon considering the season the men are having. Turns out the Legends Room was filled- as good a crowd as I can remember. Heard from Ben Dillard who will be graduating with a business degree. Very smart, articulate young man with a good sense of humor to boot. Helps remind me why it is so great to be a UALR fan.

Wasn't Foley and a ladies player on the agenda too? I would imagine that Foley and ladies getting a lot of pub in the last couple of weeks could be one cause of a good crowd.

Regardless, it was still rather amazing to have about 70 folks there. I remember a luncheon meeting with Wimp Sanderson that was held at the NLR Mexico Chiquito near the end of his tenure here. 4 folks showed up and we all sat at one table with Wimp. Actually, was kind of fun. I guess back then we didn't have the internet- now RBL can remind folks daily about the upcoming luncheon. I think that really does make a big difference.
