I think with Morgan, Curry, Grays, and Roland they could use the size at the 3 that Sterling brings to go with Kent.

I guess you don't believe in Brady's track record for missing on recruits.

I would not rule that out b/c that is exactly what happened with Kenyon Pittman ---- redshirt and then bolted ---- never dressed out for JMU. And Pittman looked more athletic than guys we had that were actually playing at the time.

The Dimitris scholarship opening up makes some sense- he is very good academically so it's possible he could graduate in 3 years academically with a full course load and extra summer sessions. I wonder if he would stay on as a graduate student/walk on or maybe even qualify for some type of academic scholarship. Either way I think he has been a good member of the team until this point- seems like a good teammate and very good student which helps the APR and on occasion he has made some big shots. I wonder if some of the other European players (Lukic and Satkus) who will be Juniors may be in the same position academically.

JMU is not likely to get Alexander....his suitors include Rhode Island, ODU, Pitt, Miami, FL; VA Tech and Wake Forest.

best way to keep up to date, if you aren't already...http://verbalcommits.com/conferences/colonial

methinks we could see some players moving on if Matt is still offering more players http://verbalcommits.com/schools/james-madison for the next season.

Of course coaches never stop recruiting.

In the DNR today they confirmed Cabarkapa is scheduled to graduate this year and hasn't decided if he will continue to pursue his final 2 seasons of eligibility.

Cabarkapa is a Kinesiology major who states that his favorite class is Anatomy. He went to a high school named High Medical School. I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to go to Medical School after he graduates but I guess we'll see how it plays out. Could someone even go to Medical School at an Institution (JMU doesn't offer one) and have enough time to play hoops?

He would be the perfect candidate to transfer and still play. Its is my understanding that he would still have two years of eligibility remaining. It appears that he is graduating after only three years of education. He has used his red shirt plus two years of play. I'm pretty sure they will not force him to lose a year since we do not offer the course of study that he is looking for. Must be a smart kid and goal driven.

RE: Kimani Jackson
That'd be unfortunate because he has really given the team some solid play after looking like he'd never see the floor early in the year. He doesn't always look pretty out there but his game is coming along and he provides some needed size and can step out and has a pretty nice shot and good range.

No. But Dr. Denton Cooley (first heart transplant surgeon in the U.S.) played varsity basketball as an undergrad at UT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denton_Cooley

I think it would be great if Cabarkapa became an MD...but he won't be playing basketball at JMU.

"2015 Kyle Alexander's visit originally slated this past weekend to Pitt will not be rescheduled. Both sides moving in different directions."

Dukes recently offered Alexander. I've seen him listed as tall as 6'10" from Canada. ODU, Western Kentucky, St Bonnies and others in the mix.
