I hate when the news hypes these storms and causes so much local economy damage by scaring everyone into shutting their towns down. When the storms don't come or are a lot less than predicted they move on to the next "story" like nothing happened. No explanation, no disclaimer. It lacks integrity and professionalism. MHO

Could not disagree more. When weathermen overestimate storms, there is some inefficiency. When they underestimate storms, people get injured or die. Small price to pay for being conservative IMO.

New York City shut down its underground snow proof tunnels because of the news
publicity. Nothing happened. I stand by what I wrote and the weather people who (some) mis predicted this non-story storm apologized and vindicated my point.

The media always over dramatize things that's what makes news sadly it could cause a public panic.

I'm glad they "over-dramatized" the storm here in eastern Connecticut. It was every bit as bad as they said it would be.

Windows are open around 60 here.
I love this weather more than anything.

Gets so hot and humid here in the summer you almost get a headache the second you walk out. 03-weeping

New England is so much better. It was 1 degree Fahrenheit on my walk to work this morning and I was kept up most of the night listening to trucks clearing snow.
