Men will ultimately go to a thirty second shot clock.
It makes absolutely no sense for the women to have a 30 second clock and the men 35. There is still time to run an offense as Joe Foley proves time and again. It also will speed up the game. And the four minute media time outs are maddening when the coaches still get the same number of time outs. If you're going to have the media time outs, cut back the coaches time outs. Also eliminate one of the worse rules in basketball, the calling of a time out after a basket. You don't have possession of the ball. How can you call a damn time out?
One other rule needs to be enforced some way. The intentional fouls at the end of the games to stop the clock, which makes the game go on much too long. Give the team that's fouled free throws and possession of the ball. That will eliminate that problem Just a few changes I'm going to make when I'm King of the basketball world!
