I saw Mike Anderson on Wess Moore's sportscast tonight
and he made an interesting comment. If I recall correctly, he said "we like to shoot the ball in 8-10 seconds". Wow. That's pretty fast, even for me. But it's a fun game to watch. Don't blink or the ball will be in the air!

It's called street or gutter ball. I can watch it under I-630 off of Mississippi.

Well I would take 16-4 and now tied for second or third in the SEC any day. I think you have blinders on when they play and see what you want to see because you still have a grudge against the Hogs because of how they treat the other teams in the state. But that has nothing to do with the style of basketball they play. Tennessee plays practically the same type of game and is pretty darn hard to beat. I've seen a lot of good teams who play that style. Press full court a lot, play a swarming defense, create turnovers, and run when you get the chance. It's called winning basketball when you have the talent to play it. It's allright to dislike the University, but it's not the coach or players fault that the politics are lousy if you're a UALR or ASU fan, especially. Like Scotto, I have no qualms about enjoying seeing the Razorbacks win. It's good for our state when they as well as ASU and UAPB win when they're not playing us. I'd love to be able to play that style of ball. It's a system. And there are many good ways to play basketball. You choose to call it gutter ball.
I call it a faster paced game. It's all good.

I don't watch them play. Joel is in town and watched the game with his brother. I had taped it for him and asked if was worth watching. He said it was an "ugly" game and definitely not worth watching (he saw years of good basketball at UNC). He knows a ton more about basketball then I do. Says if Anderson would make the ball go through Portis on every possession, instead of jacking up shots they could be a really good basketball team.

Actually I think they are a good basketball team. Maybe not a great team, but a very good one. And describing something as ugly or pretty is sort of in the eye of the beholder. I can't stand what young people call music today, but millions of them like it, so who am I to say what's ugly or pretty. It's just a matter of opinion. By the way, say hello to Joel for me.

Actually I'm so old that my parents and my music were the same. You young dudes weren't alive in those days. I did learn to enjoy some good Rock and Roll however.
