Sorry for the late update - spent the day traveling. At least I wasn't scheduled to fly to the east coast!
Even after last Friday's debacle, we still managed to pick up a few more votes this week...

Well, also of surprise to me, Canisius (#41 PairWise, #58 SOS) picked up 5 votes after sweeping Niagara (#59 of 59 PairWise, #57 SOS) 4-1 and 6-4 over the weekend.
I really can't figure that one out.

Good thing the Pairwise (the last one of the season) is the only ranking that matters.

RE: 2014-2015 Week 18 Rankings - WMU unranked
ok, so I got a question about "when" they calculate the QWB.
Does a team who pick's up a win vs a top 20 RPI team get the QWB at the time of the victory or is the QWB calculated after the conference tournament has been completed using those final top 20 RPI rankings?
A good example of this is Minnesota, who early on was ranked high and up until last week and they have consistent been in the top 20. If the season was to end today, they wouldn't be in the top 20, so all the teams who picked up wins vs Minnesota when they were ranked would or would not get a QWB?

It's calculated at the end only. The NCAA only calculates the pairwise once, after the conference tournaments are over. What you see on sites like USCHO and CHN is more of a "what if the season ended today?".

After the Friday games, if the season was to end today, the NCHC would have Two-#1 seeds and THREE-#2 seeds.
NCHC is amazing!!! Even CC who is currently in a transition stage with a new coach and a bit of a down couple of years are not a easy out for anyone in the conference.
Nothing would make me happier to see one more NCHC team crack the top 12 pairwise, either WMU or SCSU and then have one of the two remaining teams win the conference tournament (it can happen)
The NCHC could send 7 teams to the NCAA national tournament!!!!!

I caught most of the North Dakota-Omaha game on CBSSN Friday night. Great game - both teams looked very good. I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do against both teams in the next 2-3 weeks.
It won't be easy, but finding a way to get 2-3 victories over the course of the next five games would be huge.

I feel good about our up coming match up vs Miami on the outdoor ice. Great opportunity to pick up 3 points
UNO series will be this teams greatest opportunity to make some big gains pairwise. I feel we mach up even better vs the no names

I know we had to give up a home game to play at Soldier Field, but for Pairwise purposes, does the Soldier Field game count as a home game or a game played on neutral ice?

I think it will be considered neutral venue, though I think we are still the home team with the last line change...
