I bet the guvna started having chest pain when it was announced. He all but said he didn't think the bid was going to be successful. His reaction after the announcement was priceless.

Gov. Bentley will have ample opportunity to back his words with action since much of the prep work for the games will be done during his second term in office. We will get to see if his idea of backing is real financial and political support or just not getting in the way of work being done by real supporters.

....sure he/they will...But won't back Birmingham in regards to the crap his buddies pulled on UAB Football, Bowling and Rifle...I believe him about as much as I do Watts.
