Good for him, but

People have to put food on their tables and to be honest in the football world working at Alabama is a great opportunity and probably bodes well for his future. Can't hold it against him.

It just makes me want to because he should still belong to UAB!

His wife (Merideth) is from Tuscaloosa, went to Tuscaloosa Academy, and Jody has been a GA there before, so it's a good gig for him, until we get FB back.

Yeah, it does seem like it's a "transition" gig indeed. Good luck to him!!

And his family won't have to worry what the next BOT meeting will bring in the way of obstructions to his program.

On the flip side (with absolutely no hard feelings towards Coach Wright) it is a HUGE conflict of interest that the staff in Tuscaloosa is benefiting from the demise of the team in Birmingham.

Good luck coach. Smaug and I met him at a basketball game last year - he made a really good impression on me. He is one of the very few people to get a look at the BoT from both sides.

I have nothing but pity for him. I hope he gets paid well. Director of Football operations = Saban's whipping boy.

He should get hazard pay
