Retaliation.

A lot of people thought Floyd was the culprit bit it appears to me that it was Phil Johnson that did that.

At least someone on our team can shoot.

Eck. The officials warned the crowd for that too. Ole boy may need to sit or a couple of games.

The crazy part is, coach Phil Johnson threw that paper in the direction of his own players running down the court. If one of those players had stepped on that paper, he very possibly could have slipped and blown out his knee or caused some other injury.

I knew it. When I was watching the game, I suspected that it came from the bench. I was going to rewind it but then I thought it couldn't have been.

Every year Floyd and his coaching staff does something to embarrass the program.

One year it was a post game fight with Steve Alford former New Mexico coach. Another year, Tim had to be escorted off the court by police. Then another year a fight with current USC coach. Now this?

OMG! An assistant coach threw a crumpled piece of paper in frustration. WHAT EMBARRASMENT! We can never show our faces again!

The only thing embarrassing was the play (or lack thereof) on the court.

He definitely threw the paper onto the floor, but I don't think he did it maliciously. I do not think he considered someone getting hurt, or even that it was about to stop the play (giving the advantage of his actions to UTEP.)

I think it was just a coach who was beyond frustrated and I'm sure he regrets it.

Seems that should be sent to conference headquarters.

Maybe the conference can suspend our entire coaching staff. Please let it happen.

Fans get ejected from the arena for doing the same thing. No big deal? I think not.

There has never been a post game fight Coach Tim Floyd and Coach Alford. Never.

Another fight with a current USC coach? When was the first fight with a USC coach? Also, Coach Tim Floyd's popularity went sky high after that incident with USC.

Maybe he didn't have a towel nearby. I know that the way the Miners were playing I threw in the towel and changed the channel.

He was adding to the UTEP garbage on the floor.
Whether by frustration or just plain stupidity, Coach Johnson knows better. I agree, I don't think it was done maliciously, but the results of said actions could have been very detrimental to players on either team, and that's unacceptable. He should serve a suspension.
