Gotta clog up the middle on the big ice. I don't think we can match their speed but I know we can win puck battles along the boards and we certainly can out hit them and force some turnovers. I'd think we could dominate zone time possession. Any idea how we stacked up in that stat yesterday?
Anyway, today is a new day.

Yeah, I must retire after my effort last night........ horrible.

Hope last night leaves a terrible, disgusting taste in their mouths. Need to come out and play their best game tonight.

Anyway, today is a new day.

Huskies did a good job of skating the puck wide with speed and then moving the puck back to the middle. There were times where we just got over extend and open up the ice in the middle.

It's a catch 22, if you go out to the fringe on a big sheet, you better make a defensive stop or sometimes are better off just giving them the outside and pick them up later in the corner or down low

What really hurt us was the turn overs in the neutral zone which allowed them to transition back into our offensive zone, often with numbers.

I thought once we had pucks in the zone, we could control the play, but we weren't finishing on some of the grade A chances we had. SCSU had there moments, where the would cycle in our zone, but didn't really create a lot of scoring chances as a result.

I'd say zone time was pretty equal (5x5) but was titled to SCSU do to WMU penalties

WMU kills off Mckee penalty... Mckee cant breath on these SCSU players without taking penalties... Its ridiculous.

Cant seem to get anythin on net again tonight.... gettin shots... just nothing challenging the SCSU goalie....

So much with the Pitt GWG,coach is sitting him.

These guys just cant seem to get used to that extra ice... back passing to corners and not getting there in time... turning it over ALL OVER THE DAMN ICE! SCSU scores on another WMU miscue...

Big ice is built for speed and skill not size.it will be closer but might still be a long night.I hope WMU can get it together but not many big teams have been known to go far in D1.

Its hard to watch this game... SCSU is just plain owning us again... We need a goal NOW...

2-0 SCSU On a lazy transition that turned into a 3 on 2 wrist shot goal. WMU is just sleep walking out there... cant hold onto the pucks and getting caught standing around out there....

LaPort takes a dumb a$$ slashing penalty and we get the best goal scoring opportunity of the night and the SCSU goalie pulls $hit out of his a$$ to make the save... Nothing is going right for WMU this weekend....

So I have some time this weekend to catch these games on NCHC.tv... I might be bringing bad luck to this team....

I am just really dissapointed in the effort again tonight... However it doesnt help that when they try to use their size to offset the SCSU speed they get thrown in the bin...

Will we score a goal this weekend?

this game could easily be 7-0 SCSU again tonight... pathetic. I am not sure that WMU has even registered more than a shot on goal yet this period. WTF is going on out there this weekend? Is the team sick?

It's going to save me watching the pairwise the rest of the way.

Is it too early to start talking about next season?

Size doesn't beat skill and speed at this level.This is a 500. team.I hate to say.

If this is the lead pants, dull skates effort we are going to see te rest of the season... id say we can start talking about next season right now...
