According to Crystal Ball predictions on 247, Memphis now leads for this 3 star receiver. Most of these predictions came in this morning. Some of the "experts" are from Louisville where he was rumored to have been going.

That's all I found, but could be one of those "overlooked" guys. He took a trip to Louisville, but obviously something happened there and he didn't announce like originally planned. Maybe he'll visit this weekend.

Barnes is a good prospect. The WR position is pretty deep in MS this year which is why he didn't get a ton of love from MSU and OM. He would be a great pickup for Memphis.

So, I decided to see if I could find a connection between them and think it may be grades. Per Twitter, Fred Walls either is visiting or has visited emcc...guessing that's a community college. And, IIRC, UTEP (where Walls and Jallow were last week) has one of the highest acceptance rates in the US. Adding 1+1+1 and getting 9/3, I'm going with academic concerns...enough cyber stalking for one day.

Yeah it academics. We will see during signing day if their grades are good enough to get into Memphis.

That's exactly my thought as well. That may explain why we are bringing in the kid from Mitchell this weekend. I'll be happy with our WR commits if we can land Jones.
