Couple things I notice . 1) mike orris should be benched 2) tree is weak in the post and idk what he is doing out ther . 3) hope armstead is okay. Saw him come back out with ice and bandaid below his eye 4) maric will be a nice piece while he is here. plays with heart 5) saw auburn recruit laytwan porter at the game can't wait to see him play. He can really play. 6) start baker and maric.

Nice victory for the huskies. Can't wait for the next game.

Something is different with Threloff this year, not sure what it is, he is not the same player

Never thought I'd say this but I'd take Maric over Threloff

Threloff started the year strong and has really gone downhill since.

I agree Marin outplayed tree. I was pleased to see Marin went in for Jordan under two minutes left. Shows MM has growing confidence in Maric. Good sign for future.

RE: Basketball
Maric has always had a higher ceiling than Threloff. He just needs minutes. Maric dunks the ball when he can instead of weakly laying it in. If, NIU was playing Baker, Highsmith, Aaric Armstead, Bowie and Threloff with Anthony J, Aaron Armstead, Pete and Maric they would be hard to beat.

Which means nothing.

RE: Basketball
Actually it means quite a bit. It means he's going up strong every time. Increases the odds of making the shot and/or getting fouled.

It means he is being aggressive, it means he is not afraid of the contact. It also increases his chances of making a basket. It also provides energy to the team and the crowd. Basketball players, especially at the High school and college level are affected by the crowd.

It increases the probability of hearing about a "bang bang" play.

Considering that Tree misses a decent number of the layups, I think it means something. I wonder if Tree is injured, he looked better earlier in the year. Anyway, it's a good sign if Maric can take his place, and hopefully be better.

I think its a very strong possibility he is playing injured. And if I was leaning a certain way I would say it is a hand/wrist issue.

RE: Basketball
Good point MD and others about playing through pain, we judge these guys all the time and we never know what they are dealing with.

I watched last night's game and was very impressed with Maric, if Tree is hurting a bit and gets better we will have two solid big men to finish the season.
