Hey Ron, instead of pimping your friends in an attempt to polish your image, why don't you get a job selling insurance? Have a little dignity.
He did win 6 games and easily could have won 8 with a little luck in 2011. Given the fact that no other EMU coach has done that since 1995, he was damn near a miracle worker.

You're full of it. You hated him from day one. I remember. Why are you changing your tune now? Are you 100% contrarian and nothing else?

I don't know if Ron English has changed, but he wasn't the biggest ogre on the planet to begin with. But people do change and maybe he has. What pleasure do people get in kicking a guy when he's down?

I do feel for Ron. He took the EMU job and it turned down.

There is a line in a popular song about the 'downward spiral' and Ron had problems dealing with it when his career was on the line because of a losing football team.

Hope that EVERYONE can handle life when it kicks you.

RE: The Ron English is Okay Thread
Not only did I read Terry Foster's article but he also gave Ron English some love on his radio program, which Valenti of course nixed as soon as he could because talking about anything other than MSU, U-M, or the Lions is off limits to that douchebag. Anyway, Ron English is a good guy and he did not deserve to be secretly recorded like that. I thought that was pretty cowardly. When I was in high school in the mid 80's, we got much worse than being called a few names. English would win at CMU.

Name calling and coaches lashing out on players happens all the time. Most players will take the abuse because they know that coach cares about them and is just angry or is trying to make a statemement. When players feel like there is no respect and the coach actually means what he says you get situations like Ron English tapes happening. The guys was an a-hole and a bad coach and he got what he deserved.

I am not sure why we are even discussing it. He is gone and our coach now is CC. The article by Foster was an awful piece of RE propaganda and let's just leave it at that. Good luck to whoever is stupid enough to give this guy another chance.

Quick, name the current EMU coach who could barely beat Howard and then got his ass handed to him in all the other games he has coached at Eastern except for one, ready? Go!
