Is there any possibility of this happening? Every year the top schools and the top athletes ruin the recruiting process for every one else. All of the top schools are after all of the top athletes. Those top athletes wait until the absolute last minute to make a decision. The loser schools then start trying to poach lesser athletes and the cycle continues throughout college football. It seems like if there were an early signing period like in basketball, some schools could decide to sign all of their players early and others could gamble on the big athlete. Some grad programs do this so that the top students don't control the entire system.
