To say you had a decent crowd at the over half -empty arena is blasphemy, and the tV cameras seemed to like some unathletic portly white kid who liked to display his middle finger in support of his school.

Nice win, MTSU, but let's keep it real. I hate losing to you guys, but you have bested us in every revenue-producing sport event since we joined CUSA. Cannot wait to stop that trend. Enjoy the win, you earned it - but it was not in front a what anyone would consider to be a good crowd.

Obviously you haven't been watching our fan base through the first part of the year. Believe me, this was exponentially better - even amazing - compared to what it was just a couple of games ago. Gotta keep it up tho...

It was not a bad crowd. I was there, and been going since the mid-1970's. Maybe ODU averages 10k a game. Congrats if you do-- a huge population base to pull from.

I'm still bitter about the game. I wish ODU was never ranked. we've played like poo ever since. good win you earned it. you guys made 19 free throws and 9 3's. we missed half our FT's. you can't win on the road that way. congrats.

I no nothing about MTSU or your arena, but all I'll say is that on TV it looked and sounded like no one was there. if that's not the case, then I applaud your fan base for its support.

Attendance was well over 4,000 last night. ODU's arena only seats a little over 9,000. That would mean that if we took MT's crowd last night and put it in ODU's arena, we would make it half full. There..... do I win the petty attendance smack talk now?

Good game ODU. I wasn't able to attend the game thanks to working late. I did catch it on TV though and I am pretty sure I had a heart attack towards the end of regulation.

You could tell there were some student's there but the camera angles certainly didn't do you guys any favors. Congrats again. It was a great game to watch for anybody that's wasn't an ODU fan.

It's just the nature of having such a big arena. If it only seated 10K and 3 out of every 10 seats were filled that would still be 3,000 people but 7,000 empty seats would look really bad.

There is no doubt that we need to work on attendance. It is a far cry from when I was in school in the late eighties/early nineties.

We have such a fairweather fanbase, though, that even the exhibition loss to Martin Methodist has probably kept some fans away. But disappointing nonetheless with our great records the past 3 years (not including this one).

Our city has doubled in size since the early nineties, but the crowds have probably dropped by 50%. I guess the young grads just don't care about sports as much as the older generation.

I would like to see 8k there regardless of opponent.

The folks that were there knew how good of a team ODU is. I think many were shocked that our youngsters could stay on the same floor with your team (hell, probably me included). Glad that ODU missed so many at the charity stripe (reminded me of our own team). That #20 for ODU was a smooth player-- really like the way he moved and shot the fade away.

Was proud of our student turnout, however.

I don't think we will ever get those crowds back until we make multiple trips to the Big Dance, and win a game or three in the tourney, much like Western has done.

But our sphincters pucker come tournament time. Ask WKU.

MT fans, when is the last time we've won two games in the conference tourney ? Mobile ?

Kermit is always good for a loss in the tournament, for sure.

We won 3 in 2008 in Mobile. That was the last time we've won more than one in the conference tournament.
