Yemen Falls to ISIS
Breaking News on CNN today, Yemen gov't falls to ISIS.

ISIS captured the capital city, and there she goes.

Good thing we spiked the football two days ago during the SOTU.

Don't worry. Dear Leader will call in a drone strike.

Haven't we released a few GITMO participants to them in the recent past as well?

It's an Iranian backed Houthi rebellion. Houthis are Shia, and actually fight AQAP in Yemen coincidentally. Houthis are NOT ISIS. Are they supportive of Islamic Extremism? More than likely, but ISIS is not in control here, Iran is.

What exactly is your point there, and why are you referencing an article written in September vice the news from today?

It's sad that you assume ISIS isn't involved and will stay out of it.

Good luck with that delusion...

The houthi aren't isis, in fact they despise Isis and are currently fighting them. The yemenese government has essentially been defunct for awhile now so the official government ducking out is more of a formality, they've been dead in the water for awhile now. That said, idk the complete politics of the houthi tribe good or bad and have heard stuff regarding both but they're definitely not Isis or Isis affliated.

Dude you're making yourself look bad here. ISIS is far from involved here. It's an "Iranian backed revolution" by the Houthi tribe in Yemen. Iran views ISIS as an enemy and a threat to their interests.

Yeah, I understand and do agree with all your saying and I did have it wrong saying Yemen fell to ISIS vice the Houthis. However, we have every reason to believe that ISIL/ISIS fighters will flood Yemen now and further destabilize Yemen and cause Saudi panic.

I was indeed wrong concerning which group officially destabilized Yemen, but I'll stand by my assessment that Yemen will become infiltrated by ISIS/ISIL fighters and supporters.

This is another of the leader from behinders "success" stories, right?

The "model" for the rest of the clown car cabal's foreign policy approach and their "strategy" for fighting terrorism overseas. 03-nutkick

This is effing GREAT! Viva la-bama, get that spot on Rushmore picked out!

Yep. Even Politico describes Dear Leader as obsessed with clearing out GITMO.

The chickens come home to roost.

If Houthis remain in control, it will start another civil war (just like Iraq and Syria). But in this case, AQAP will fight the Iranian backed Houthis for control of Yemen. Just another country on the road to the complete collapse of the Middle East. ISIS may send support to AQAP, but they will likely maintain their interests in the Syria-Iraq corridor. Remember, they are no longer affiliated with AQ.

Agreed. The Houthis making headway in Yemen, and their Iranian backing... I wonder how that will bode for Obama's stance on not wanting any further Iranian sanctions?
