This is especially good news for Texas State. I don't think this group of GSU players has managed a win in a televised game.

Wow! A nationally televised home game in basketball for Texas State on ESPN or ESPN2? I am shocked! I am not sure why this is happening, maybe the markets are appealing to ESPN? But it is great for the conference and both schools. This will help Danny Kaspar and his efforts to recruit better players to Texas State.

UTA at ULL will also be televised on ESPN Feb 7th.

I am afraid as long as we play in Hanner Fieldhouse with our 4500 capacity we won't be getting many televised games.

We are 0 for TV. Ugh.

We played some bracket buster games back in the 2003-2005 range I think. Hanner sucks, but it's not the worst arena in the world.

A packed Hanner would look fine on TV. The problem is the poor lighting and camera positions. I saw some really small and crappy gyms on TV during the preseason tournaments. GS vs GSU in Hanner might be huge, the App game might also be a big one.

That and the 1,500 fans or so that will show up. I'm thinking the 11 am start will give plenty of people an excuse to not show up. Wish I could make it myself.

So, MBB @ 11:00 vs GSU, Baseball @ 1:00 vs UC-Davis, and Softball @ 5:30 vs UTSA. Also assume WBB still scheduled @ 2:00. Busy day at the sports complex.

But the WALL!!!! Can they hurry up and tear it down and add seats before the broadcast??? ugh!!!!
