They're gonna send Duane up there with a rope around his waist to help break the fall.

Not 100% sure, but I believe I was told a smaller crane will likely provide that lift. Going back out there Wednesday, will find out.

Hey TommyG - has there been any thought to moving the construction cam to show progress on the other side of the stadium now?

Or move the camera inside the building to let us see what's going on behind the plastic. But I agree, we need a camera looking at the East side.

Apparently Duane got stuck on the crane while posting on Bearcat Banter. Had to be rescued before the crane could be moved

They fill the light housings with hydrogen and they just float up there where guys standing on the roof with butterfly nets can snag 'em.

Just talked to someone who would know. Yes, the wood will be permanent. The cost of the project is a little more than anticipated so they're going to have wood rails for the first couple years. They will be painted though.

Thank god they will be painted, the natural wood color would clash with the aluminum panels. 03-rotfl

Maybe if the wood is left natural it could double as Ken Ham's Noah's ark thing during the off season03-lmfao

I think it's about time this site gets a forum, specifically dedicated to Duane.

I don't believe the camera will be moving. The set-up is specific to having power and internet connectivity, so inside the structure is not an option.

Also - the camera takes a picture every 15 minutes for our archives and eventual finished product time lapse video. Move the camera? Ruin the time lapse.

Don't worry, as progress is made on the east side, we will document it on our updates. Right now, it hasn't been anything too crazy.
