Men's soccer won the CAA tournament and went to the NCAA's. While football had the better regular season, you have to say soccer ultimately made it just as far as football did.

Just saw this update on facebook...softball has won 10 straight and just mercied UVa twice. Now 19-6 heading into CAA play this weekend (25 games out-of-conference?). Nice!

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but Virginia is not a good team this year, at all. They're 5-23 after today, have no good wins and plenty of bad losses.

I'm well aware that UVa's bad. Just trying to bring a little positivity around here after last night's MBB debacle...

How about our freshman stud, Megan Good!

I like that Coach Deane at JMU and Coach Thomas at VT are winning with VA players. Go look at the UVA roster for 2015, only 2 VA players present. There were others on the team when Miller took over, but they quit. JMU and VT headed for their second straight years in the NCAA and doing it with home grown talent, UVA headed for another year in the gutter with more roster players from CA than VA.

Coach Dean has proven to be a great coach in 2 short years.
I was concerned when approximately 5 players quit during his first preseason, but the results indicate he got rid of dead wood. He is demanding, but respected.

Yeah, I remember after that a user came on the boards and bashed Dean. Saying he was lucky to land into some good recruits and that players leaving was only the start of bad things to come. Don't think I've see that poster around since...

Yeah that was most likely a sour-grapes poster. Dean was the most respected softball coach in the state when he came to JMU and has only enhanced that reputation in his 2 years at JMU.

We swept Towson this weekend to start CAA play 3-0!

Softball cracks top 25 at #25, and we landed a national player of the week. Congrats to the ladies and Coach Dean!

That's great this program is legit. Glad to see them getting well deserved recognition. Best program in the state and no one else is really even that close to them.

Not all that much of a softball geek but no denying that's pretty dadgum impressive for a freshman. Good article in the DNR today as well. Apparently, she throws 70+.
