I'll make two points:
1) Memphis didn't win the American Championship. They were 7-1 with Cincy and UCF. It was a three way tie. And in all honestly, until we host a Championship Game, I feel deep down there was no "champion" for 2014.

2) Memphis was a good Team this year. Unlike what they have been historically, and what you remember from their days in CUSA. Beating BYU in the bowl game proved that to me. Will they continue their upward trend next year?....Maybe.

How does your teams.....

ECU didn't allow Memphis to win the conference. Quite the opposite, ECU forced a three way tie by blowing leads in the Cincy and UCF games.
