Yeah, that's something we need to get better at. When we try to slow the game down with a lead we stop plying good team defense also.

I'm surprised Pastner hasn't been run over by some of the players since he's about 10 feet on the floor half the time.

The one thing that has surprised me the most is how easy our guards have been able to get to the basket. Just not like the Memphis I'm used to seeing.

Of course this isn't like the Tulsa I'm used to seeing either.

The ref's played way too big a role in this game.

...and that's surprised those of us that have followed the Tigers for a long time also. I understand the ebbs/flows or peaks and valleys of recruiting but the Memphis community is so filled with so many talented guards, it's hard to fathom that we're so starved for just one real point guard on offense and a stopper of defense.

In any event, congrats on first place. Well deserved. Your guys are certainly better than us and I won't discount that by bad mouthing our talent any longer.....you guys deserve to be where you are in my opinion. Good game and keep it up the balance of the year.
