OT: CUSA board Comedy Thread (for when things get too heated in here)
Have wanted to get this going for a while. Sometimes, we all need a break from the seriousness of sports and our rabid advocating for our respective teams. When things get heated and you're a bit upset at another poster, take refuge in a little levity and come here to laugh.
Rules:
1. Nothing too filthy.
2. Be reasonable.
3. Label anything with some cursing or risque humor as NSFW.
4. Have Fun!!
Hope the moderators will allow some leeway for some colorful humor and curse-words (as long as it's not completely filthy, we should be okay, just please label anything NSFW as such if it has some foul words or anything) as the best humor sometimes can be a little risqué. All comedy styles are welcome here, just use some discretion and be sure it's not too far over the line.
As this is a sports board, I'd like to start things off with a little classic
Comedian: George Carlin
Bit: "Football vs Baseball"
Rating: safe
not as true as it used to be with the rules hanges in mlb, but still...

No problem, it's all good! I can recognize a well-constructed comedy bit or a well-constructed song even if I might not exactly agree with everything in it. Good craft is good craft. That bit is genius, and Carlin was a comedy genius. I got a chance to see him in Tunica,MS at the Horseshoe a few years before he died. He was still tremendously funny even at his age. Wonder where he is now? Guess found out who was right. We all will someday, my friend.
As I stated in the OP, good comedy can sometimes get a little risque. That's why I asked for a little leeway for this thread. Don't be afraid to find things that are well-done and funny to post and share with others. They can make up their own minds. Keep posting, man!

Was going to wait until the thread evolved a bit before posting him, but here's a brilliant bit on religion by a brilliant comedian. As one of the commenters said, "He manages to make fun of my religion without coming across as overly offensive." THAT is genius:
Eddie Izzard - (NSFW- a bit of swearing here and there)
"Religion ala Eddie Izzard"

RE: OT: CUSA board Comedy Thread (for when things get too heated in here)
one of my favorite comedians of all time. He recently retired due to severe health issues. He played Vegas for years. I saw him several years ago when he was downtown at the Golden Nugget. I'm so glad I did get to see him live before he left the biz.
Here's a bit of his act back when he was still young and skinny. I still laugh hard at this video even though I know the whole thing:
The Amazing Jonathan - (NSFW, a few words and some risque jokes)
The Amazing Johnathan - 1983
