I don't want to publicly air the kinds of rumors & rumblings that cause me to feel this way, but just how far up the ladder this scandal may be traced before it's over has scared the hell out of me for a while. The report that our compliance office somehow green-lighted what now has us in trouble just raises my fears even more.

I'm kinda surprised by the part about Sadler being upset because the level of trouble wasn't disclosed to him when he was hired. All along, I kinda assumed the school was upfront about it, and one of the reasons he was hired was because our admin wanted a seasoned coach to lead us through this mess as opposed to hiring a young guy who might not possess the savvy to navigate it. The way that part of the story was written, "the level of this NCAA turbulence was not properly presented to him," insinuates that he was, in fact, told something was going down, but not that it was going to be as bad as it's turning out to be. Could be no one at the time knew just how bad it was going to be.

Then again, all info discussed above came from the same guy who incorrectly said the players mutinied yesterday and whose network has their nose halfway up Tyndall's new conference's large intestine, so maybe it should be taken with a grain of salt anyway.

I do remain VERY concerned by the effect this may have on the arena renovation.
The rumors of this were out there way before the summer. I dont see that as being true.

I don't put much credence into the rumors about players striking, Sadler being pissed at USM, etc.

Could be wrong, but my initial gut reaction is skepticism.

Jamie Chapman posted on twitter that there was not a strike. yes they took the day off but came back.

I think was doc was referring to was not the ncaa situation but the roster situation. He dismissed other players that have been overlooked due to things donnie turned a blind eye to.

I hate it. Sucks for everyone. Sucks they are having a bad year. Sucks that the one that caused it is getting away Scott free.
Would love to have their good fans in attendance in Birmingham.

I didn't realize that only 12 of the 14 teams qualified for CUSA tourney until all this happened but I don't think we would have made it anyway with our play this year. The sad part is I was looking forward to the tourney once it was announced it was in Birmingham. I had the vision of us having another banner year and bringing several hundred or so to the tourney and making a good run at it.
