I just wish UTSA would take hoops seriously and do something about their godawful HS gym. Watched the UTEP game.. that arena is dirty, drab, and depressing. Looks terrible on TV.

I couldn't agree more on the basketball gym. It's an embarrassment. I hope they do something fast to improve it. As for the helmets, I like ones with the runner on them. Like the ones worn this past yr again UH. That dark blue one with the tx on it is really nice too.

UTSA isn't the only conference member with basketball facilities unworthy of C-USA membership.

UTSA, FIU, and FAU need improvements and they need them fast. If the Conference actually had a pair, they would mandate and set a deadline for sufficient improvements.

You're not in the Sun Belt anymore, folks. Time to start acting like you belong.

UTSA's arena sucks, but UTSA did beat Charlotte in it.

The one on the left looks cool. The one on the right needs improvement. No one is going to be able to make out what that says from the stands.

Indeed, they did. Congrats to them.

This is the difference between Charlotte and UTSA. UTSA celebrates a victory over a team from the top half of the conference. UTSA apparently sees such a victory as an opportunity to talk some smack while defending their substandard basketball facility.

Charlotte, on the other hand, has facilities and success that UTSA couldn't dream of, even if they were capable of putting forth the effort to dream of basketball success. Charlotte is a program solidly in the top half of the conference. The kicker is that while you're gloating of your victory over that top-half program, that same top-half program sees merely "top-half" as a complete and utter failure. A growing number of supporters are calling for the athletic director's head for even insinuating that the current state of the program is acceptable.

We expect to compete for championships, every year. The fact that we have fallen so far as the middle of the conference in the time since we first departed is fifteen times the burn that any smack talk that any program who plays in a box could possibly throw our way.

How's that for some cold water, Monark?

Stop it guys, really. No need for this. We're conference mates. Our facilities suck for now and that's all there is to it.

We need to bring back that basketball ticket Taco Bell deal. Our facilities and attendance suck. It is very embarrassing for the great Charlotte basketball program to be below UTSA in the CUSA standings. We need to improve our attendance, so it doesn't make Charlotte look so bad.
