Yeah lol it's called Hwy 90 lol. I really don't see it happening they were talking about the I-49 corridor back in the 70's. I heard that it would cost almost 2 to 3 billion dollars to get it completed. i don't think it will happen in my life time.

One of the biggest issues that Lafayette has is its road system. Most big cities and towns have loops, Lafayette does not have one single loop. Also it does not have enough interstate hwy's to keep up with the demand.

The road system is so screwed up that in the 70's Lafayette had over 200 T intersections. Roads that just stopped.

It's on a lot of people's wish list in Arkansas to get the stretch of 49 built between Texarkana and Fort Smith. It's been dubbed the Wal-Mart corridor as it wood connect Wal-Mart HQ on a major north-south corridor connecting NO to KC and beyond. The only problem is the price tag is huge because it will have to traverse the ouachita mountains.

Not to get to political, but the 600 billion dollar bailout plan would of been better put to use by spending the money to finish the I-49 corridor.

Yep, football season is walking the plank. The subject of politics is on the horizon. Spring practice can't get here soon enough.
