Moore is a hypocrite. Decries capitalism yet gladly accepts money made from his movies. He's always a coward. No way he would stand next to a sniper and call that sniper a coward.
I tried to go see American Sniper with my GF this weekend. It took me 45 minutes just to park at the Bossier City, Louisiana Boardwalk, we got to the Cinema and the line stretched around every turn in the roped section and then continued for about 100 yards. Then we drove to Shreveport to the Tinsel Town since they're never crowded anymore (due to the Boardwalk) and there were no parking spots.

What's the difference between a dive by and a sniper?
The fact that a sniper picks his target and waits for a clean shot instead of indiscriminately firing from a moving vehicle. Training. Choice of weapon. Need I go on?
But they both kill without much chance of getting caught.
That's a fact of life in war, Fit. Oh, I forgot, you've always been to chicken to even try the military and don't know what is what. Why do you think militarys around the world all have camouflaged uniforms? So that they can be seen? You're nuts and not too bright.
As for our fiend, er, friend, Michelle Moore if he ever was involved in a war there wouldn't be any need for scopes. He's a pretty big target and I'm sure he'd be carrying a sign, "say no to snipers" and be an easy target.

Yep. Like them or not, snipers are a part of every military in the world and are used by both regular forces and particularly irregulars.
Fit, of course, you being a teacher and all, I'm sure you know that the Americans during the Revolutionary War used the tactic. The British got mad because the Americans would shoot at them from behind trees, then disappear into the forest - said they didn't fight fairly.

Exactly. They said it was fighting without honor. Funny how things change
Quote:Lots of talk about snipers this weekend (the holiday weekend of a great man, killed by a sniper), so I thought I'd weigh in with what I was raised to believe about snipers. My dad was in the First Marine Division in the South Pacific in World War II. His brother, my uncle, Lawrence Moore, was an Army paratrooper and was killed by a Japanese sniper 70 years ago next month. My dad always said, "Snipers are cowards. They don't believe in a fair fight. Like someone coming up from behind you and coldcocking you. Just isn't right. It's cowardly to shoot a person in the back. Only a coward will shoot someone who can't shoot back."
But Deadline Hollwood and the Hollywood Reporter turned that into stories about how I don't like Clint Eastwood's new film, "American Sniper." I didn't say a word about "American Sniper" in my tweets.
If they wanted to know my opinion of "American Sniper" (and I have one), why not ask me?
So here's what I think about "American Sniper":
Awesome performance from Bradley Cooper. One of the best of the year. Great editing. Costumes, hair, makeup superb!
Oh... and too bad Clint gets Vietnam and Iraq confused in his storytelling. And that he has his characters calling Iraqis "savages" throughout the film. But there is also anti-war sentiment expressed in the movie. And there's a touching ending as the main character is remembered after being gunned down by a fellow American vet with PTSD who was given a gun at a gun range back home in Texas -- and then used it to kill the man who called himself the 'America Sniper'.
Also, best movie trailer and TV ads of the year.
Most of us were taught the story of Jesse James and that the scoundrel wasn't James (who was a criminal who killed people) but rather the sniper who shot him in the back. I think most Americans don't think snipers are heroes.
Hopefully not on this weekend when we remember that man in Memphis, Tennessee, who was killed by a sniper's bullet.
You can carry on with your nonsense now.
Am I the only one who thought there was underlying attempt at denigrating the fact that vets are allowed to own firearms? I certainly felt it from this smug back peddling garbage.
Actor Dean Cain Told Seth Rogen He Wants To Kick His Ass After Rogen Compared American Sniper To Nazi Propaganda…
Quote:Seth Rogen has become the latest celebrity to wade in on American Sniper, saying that it reminded him of the Nation’s Pride film-within-a-film the Nazis produce in Inglorious Basterds.
The actor is no stranger to political controversy in film, his latest movie The Interview having been aborted due to threats from hackers unhappy with its depiction of North Korea.
“American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds,” he wrote.
After his comments were picked up in several publications, he later added as clarification: “I wasn’t comparing the two. Big difference between comparing and reminding. Apples remind me of oranges. Can’t compare them, though.”
Dean Cain, former Superman and friend of sniper Chris Kyle – who was the subject of the biopic – wasn’t happy.
“Seth…I like your films, but right now, I wanna kick your ass. Chris is an American Hero. Period. Go to war. Then we’ll talk,” he tweeted in response.
