Any Chance of The AAC Getting the ESPN Contract Reworked?
Does anyone know the terms and length of the ESPN Contract and If there any chance of us getting it reworked? I think that The American has represented relatively well over the past 1-1/2 years ... 07-coffee3.

Also, do you that the AAC will give its individual member institutions the option of doing the P5 conference are doing?

If I remember right....127 million, over 7 years, ending in 2019-20...there is a look in period we can exercise.

With Navy coming on board...I hope we use the look in at the end of basketball season.

The AAC get's $20m a year as a conference from ESPN. Not sure what CBS also pays. Pails in comparison to the P5 payout but is most lucrative of G5.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. Here's to hoping that we exercise the "Look-in Clause" and they vote to follow along with the P5 conferences or give individual institutions the authority to offer athletes the same kind on benefits that the P5 conferences are giving ... 04-cheers.

What is the "look in" clause? If you are asking about AAC voting to cover the "cost of attendance" legislation, Aresco has already (as has Bowen) said they would.
