I just hope and pray it's not our grave! UA BoT may be looking at this as an opportunity. What is BoT's solution to probation and possible loss of accreditation? Closer oversight of School of Medicine and dissolving all but essential undergraduate programs that support it at UAB. Feat accomplished! Checkmate!

I'm concerned SACS may turn out to be gas for BoT's match. Sure, BoT may get a slight nose bleed and UA(T) may get a temporary black eye but the BoT would again be able to worship fully in the Church of the Crimson Tide at the alter to their idol wearing the hounds tooth hat.

On the flip side they may force anyone with a connection to Bryant and St John off the board.

They don't need an excuse from SACS. They could do it tomorrow. Of course those general revenue bonds would be worthless at that point

RE: SACS Investigation
I think the BOT is corrupt and controlled by one man or a small group, however I also think he/they are smart enough to want their cash cow (UAB) to continue mooing and squirting milk. SACS could have an impact on this so the potential of an investigation and action most definitely has their attention.
