Nik “It’s just what’s best for Nik" Brown
You will recall that Buzz Peterson had signed one Nik Brown to join this year's Seahawk squad. Kevin Keatts took over the program and Nik elected to re-open his recruiting process (some believe that Nik saw the handwriting on the wall and withdrew before he was asked to withdraw), famously saying, “It wasn’t anything personal against the school or against the coaches,” Brown said. “It’s just what’s best for Nik, and that’s to explore all my options.”

Of course, I am always suspicious of anyone who refers to themselves in the third person. But, be that as it may, Nik ended up signing with UNCG and UNCW instead signed Jordan Talley.

Talley is now the starting point guard for UNCW. Nik is no longer on the UNCG team.

So Nik may have to have a little talk with Nik about what's best for Nik's future, given that Nik didn't meet Nik's expectations at the school that Nik felt was best for Nik......

LOL. All I can find is that he transferred. Sounds like we lucked out of that head case. Another great reason to be thankful Keatts is at the helm.

Nik wouldn't let Nik do anything rash without having Nik give Nik a good talking to first!

Can you do a similar one of these for the Mullet? You're the master at this.

Mullet
Also indexed as:Ama’ Ama

Quality mullet is easy to recognize. Fresh mullet never smells fishy, and the eyes should appear bright and clear, almost alive.

Varieties

In the United States, the main commercial species are the striped mullet and the leaner silver mullet. French red mullet is actually goatfish, and Canadian mullet is a member of the sucker family.

I think we all know something about the quality of The Mullet in these parts. My only question is whether he has Canadian roots...

Not to mention, Mullets seem to rarely venture into the tank when the water is warm, and the Seahawks are in the hunt! No recent sightings I can recall....

Oh, and Buzz SUCKED. I blame him for our losses, and give Keatts all the credit for our wins. (You need a good lure when they aren't biting).

The Best Baits for Mullet Fishing

Mullet are often overlooked as a game fish due to their reputation as scavengers. But mullet are aggressive fighters when hooked and are fun to catch. Preparing the water is as important to catching mullet as the actual bait presentation.

Chumming the Water

Mullet are attracted to areas where discarded fish and other food enter the water. Use this knowledge to help bait, or chum, the water to prepare for fishing.

Mullet love to eat what people like to eat. A wide range of leftovers makes good mullet bait.

Good effort, 82Hawk. You have "chummed" the water with leftovers (Buzz Peterson). Keep it up and The Mullet might just bite. But beware: as the above indicates, The Mullet can be aggressive when hooked!

I suppose one of us should so as to humor mullet - but it won't be me. As CGH06 stated earlier we may have dodged a head case. No team (except ezu) deserves one of those.

The only person I've ever heard you say WOULD work here is Stillman White.

The Mullet did miss on Goldsberry. And the Mullet did man-up and admit that he missed on him.

Credit where credit is due....

That's why I never make predictions on recruits. Except if they talk about themselves in 3rd person.

I will always get excited about the potential of certain recruits. And I don't really need someone, especially a non fan, to tell me they haven't proven anything until they hit the court. If I went through life so skeptical, I would be a miserable sob. Now, I may still be an sob, but I'm not miserable.

When The Mullet starts referring to himself in the third person (as in, "The Mullet said to The Mullet, 'Nik Brown needs to talk to Nik to tell Nik to talk some sense into Nik" so that The Mullet can concentrate on hoops instead of talking like this to The Mullet")...that's when we will know that we're really in the Twilight one.....

He was the man. Guy was tough as nails and played defense like no one else. He could make a couple 3s too :)
