App played out of their minds. Shot the ball 20 percentage points worse than Gas St. and gritted out a win. GA St's coaches declined to commit after the game, seems like a sore loser.

I fully expect a 20 point loss in the rematch but this every win this season is icing while coach Fox builds.

That's the Huckster for you. Sore loser.

On another note, Bob Marlin sucks!

GaSt coach and players showed their asses yesterday. It made the win taste that much better.

I wonder if Charlie Cobb saw the game. At least it wasn't 44-0 this time, Chuck.

Ehh, I thought Harrow, Ware, and Crider were pretty good sports. Cocky for sure, but seemed like good folks. How concerned they were with winning, at least until the final five minutes, seemed like a different story.

It's still early in the year. It's nice having even level playing field with competition from everyone. It delivers competitive games. Who ever wins SBC tourney will be tested. That's great for the conference

SBC was 19th in RPI last year, 20th right now. While it is bad it isn't far off last year.

For reference CUSA was 13th last year, 17th this year. MAC 12th in both.

This is the one time I'm glad basketball is so bad... We're trying to get better, and the conference is helping us.

There's parity in the conference this year. Makes the race for the top two seeds in the tournament interesting. That wasn't the case last year when it was clear that GaSt & ULL were the two best teams, and everybody else stunk. It sure would be nice to eventually add NMSU & Mo St to give our basketball a boost. The conference needs it.

USA will be back soon. I'm starting to gain more confidence in Coach Graves. We have a really young team with little depth. I'm hoping last night's win is a sign of things to come. We showed our potential. I'm ready to have the Jags competing for the conference championship again.

Not sure why all this parity talk sounds like a good thing...we need a couple teams head and shoulders better than everyone else. That's how teams get ranked and conferences get multiple teams in the dance...

I agree. But parity in a league is fine...IF...the league does well in non-conference - which the Sun Belt historically does not.

No one was getting an at large bid before conference play started.

We have 4-5 teams that are going through a major rebuild. A couple of years from now this conference should be much better.

I think ULL fans are just upset they are not the undisputed top of the league this year. Their record last season was over inflated due to the league being so bad last year and now that things have evened out there isn't one or two teams that can mow down everyone below them in the standings. 20 wins doesn't mean much if you only face teams from the cellar, I think instead of blaming the league as a whole for getting better I think you should be blaming yourselves for not doing enough to keep your hold on the top of the league.

To a lot of fans that is the way it's done. If we are bad then it's the conference fault. Few seem to think the conference is bad because we are lousy. I tell you right now stAte is lousy because of stAte not the SBC.

I'm excited about our 7 footer that just joined the team... He will get some practice this year, but looking forward to him playing next year. I believe we are the youngest team in the Sun Belt, and might be the thinnest on depth (not sure), but we only graduate one senior and have some good ones coming in. You can see flashes of what this team is aiming to become and I like what I see.

This is where I think you are off base the way I see it is the league is not down just like any other league half the teams will lose every Saturday and days there are games. There is no reason for UL fans to be upset just like last year the regular season means nothing as far as the NCAA tournament goes. Yes we all want that number one seed but reality is only one team from this conference is going to the big dance. I actually like a league where anyone can win because it makes for great games of course I want to win them all but unforchanitly we wont neither will any one else in the conference.

No disrespect to USA but the first 13 minutes of the game with UL your team looked like a JV team your players looked like they didn't think they belong. Then your coach (whom I feel is a good coach) settled them down and they started playing as a team and the rest is history. If your team is a young as you say then you can look forward to some good USA basketball like the good ole days. Hats off to your team and congratulations on the victory.
