I love games like this immediately after all the crazy overreactions following an ugly loss. Temple came into this game 10th in the country in AdjD efficiency. This team is consistently inconsistent, but they are more than capable of playing efficient enough offense to win multiple games in March. It might not happen until next season, but I enjoy watching this team go through the growing pains.

I'm tired of reading on this board how they are unwatchable and are bound for the NIT/CBI. After tonight they are up to #34 in the Pomeroy ratings and are well on their way to their 5th straight tournament appearance with an RPI of 30. This is a good basketball team.

By the way, can we as a fan base take a minute every now and then and acknowledge the continued defensive excellence of this program? At this point I feel we take it for granted and just focus on bashing the offense. If only we spent a fraction of the time talking about what we do at an elite level we might be a happier bunch.

I'm guessing that opening comment was directed at me. Fine enough.

The second half of last nights game was the exception to the rule.

A grind it out low scoring game is THE rule.

If you cannot see that then you are a blind fool.

I'm glad the Cats won last night. I hope we see more games of at least a half of offensive excellence. History leads me to believe that we won't. But I will be very happy if they prove me wrong.

I think that post was directed at a number of us, including myself.

Congrats to the Bball Cats! They looked great in the 2nd half. Reminded me of the NC St game. They hit their shots and played mostly error free ball. I can give praise where it is due.

So far this season, these types of games are an exception to the rule. I would love to see more of what transpired in the 2 half. There is some talent on this team. The Memphis game, heck Uconn, were games you have to win. The turnovers were unacceptable in the Memphis game, as well as wasted offensive possessions, due to shot clock violations. Maybe it's growing pains? If we want to be a top tier team, which we are not, I expect fans to call out bad play. At least we have fans passionate enough not to be complacent with bad play.

Again, congrats to the team and coaches for Sat night's win. They responded well after a bad loss.

Amen.
