You only wish ECU could get to play a first round with Harvard.

Next five for Tulsa.

Memphis
@ ECU
@ Tulane
USF
Coog High

Then we get Pony @ Home

It's a huge game for both of us. We are actually playing with a pulse. Should be a good game.

RE: Rank the AAC...
We have beat Memphis all of two times since 2005.

This game scares the crap out of me.

To have rattled off 7 in a row and be 5-0 is something I wouldve never expected when we were 5-5 a few weeks ago.

Im really excited to see the 3s starting to fall for TU. If we hit from the perimeter we are very very hard to beat.

I still think its SMU and then everyone else.

I think it's going to be a fun game. Both teams have some confidence.

RE: Rank the AAC...
Unbalanced schedule to me makes conferences records somewhat irrelevant right now. This is how I would rank the conference based on who I think is best and where everyone will end up when it is all said and done. Tulsa is really solid, but their schedule is really backloaded. May see them in top 3 most the season, but don't think so at the end.

1. Cincinnati
2. SMU
3. UConn
4. Memphis
5. Tulsa
6. Tulane
7. Temple
8-11. The rest of the irrelevant bottom teams

agree 100% with this...and 1-4 could jockey a bit.

No...had no idea that game was even played.

I get my standings from ESPN, which early in the season (before any tiebreakers are used) rank tied conf teams by overall records (like the above).

PS. Just checked AAC's website...and they too have ECU ranked above USF as with 11-12 conf games left to play, its not worth spending 1 second worrying about any tiebreaker.

Oh ok. So then you don't have a problem using same method for football? Meaning Memphis is the top team in football

Back to the topic of this thread...if anyone knows how to read standings, ECU and USF are tied for 9th.

Who knew this would be a big point of contention...but then again, look who responded.

If the mod above wants to talk football, there are plenty of other threads to post in.

Just questioned your method of ranking the teams and wether it was consistent with other sports. Sorry you didn't like the question. You didn't have to answer if you didn't like it.

I think in these rankings usf is tied with ecu. Just like how Memphis was tied with UCF for the football title. The difference is usf is tied for 8th place in basketball which is irrelevant and UCF was tied for 1st in football which gave us our 2nd title in a row

And that has nothing to do with it. In reality teams are tied wether for 8th or 1st, the order of ranking doesn't determine title. So UCF,UC and Memphis all tied for title but in ranking Memphis is first
This is a discussion board and if anyone posts something then they shouldn't be surprised or upset when someone questions it. All I asked was if that was the way he was going to rank basketball ,was he using same pattern for football. This thread was about people's opinion on the AAC rank we will all not going to agree with what each other's posts but shouldn't get defensive if your methodology its questioned.
