Does NBCSN really have the inventory space on Saturdays for college football is the big question? With the Premier League and NASCAR their Saturday windows are pretty tight.

I think FS2 will become a more prominent player for FOX in the future. CUSA, MVC, Sun Belt, whoever might not be a bad spot for them to get some games on. The key will be the Big Ten rights deal. FOX has some good inventory from the Big East, PAC-12, Big 12 right now, add Big Ten to the mix along with some of the CUSA types etc and FS1/FS2 could be alright college sports wise.

Sure. Part of their presentation to the AAC was the concept of double and triple headers on Saturday. I see Ivy League football on NBC-Sports in Saturdays as it is--so why not CUSA?

I think CUSA makes a lot of sense for NBC-Sports. The problem with NBC is that they will not pay much for content that they don't believe is "premium". I think they will pay significant money for the Olympics, NFL, Pac-12, or Big-10. But when it comes to G5 football, their bidding conduct with the AAC indicates they want that G5 content at a low ball price and are not interested in a bidding war. That said, CUSA would still at least get some value as they would be moving their games from CBS-Sports (about 55 million subscribers) to NBC-Sports with over 80 million subscribers. Plus, they might even get a few select games on the main NBC-Broadcast Network (that was part of the AAC deal). That expanded exposure has some value.

NBC puts together a bowl game for us and gets rights to cherry pick a couple games each year (if a team is ranked for example, or if a team hosts a ranked opponent). Basketball is improving and would give both networks content (which again, is sorely missing from FS2). I am hoping we can avoid weeknight games, but if the price is right I wouldn't complain. ESPN owns pretty much everything on the East Coast. C-USA is all that's left for any other network that wants involved in FBS football in the Southeast.

NBC has entered the bowl business. They will carry the Cure Bowl pitting AAC and Sun Belt next year.

CBSSN has the Cure Bowl. http://curebowl.com/about/

My uneducated guess is somewhere between MAC and MWC/AAC money. Both MWC and AAC have national brands in revenue sports which sets the ceiling. The tight regionalism of the MAC limits national appeal and sets the floor. Right now FOX is getting all the CUSA content they want for $7 mil as they picked up games when CBSSN reduced carriage of CUSA and CSS went dark. I just don't get CBSSN. They are actually paying money for inventory and choosing to let it sit on the shelf. Surely, there were better CUSA games available than 0fer SMU (from a competitive standpoint) against the bottom of the AAC.
