I have a feeling "18. Raphael Leonard, wide receiver, Starkville HS" will be a Tiger. WR is a big need for us. I believe we'll sign 4.

I have heard the Linton kid up Hwy 72 in Walnut is a good kid. They had a kid when I was living in Bruce and Bruce played in their 2A division named Shaquille Perry. When he wanted to play he was the best I had ever seen. When he didn't he was useless. Hearsay is that Linton kid who has committed to TSUN is a good kid with skills.

I don't know I found it pretty encouraging. It is awfully late in the game for a far away school like Kansas with a losing history to come in and steal a recruit, especially a QB recruit. Usually late switchers at least have contingent offers, are taking visits or something. If there is no smoke here then is probably no fire. It sounds like UM is going to get a quality QB. Hope so.

I think Mitchell is looking out for himself here. Nothing I've seen or heard suggests that Davis has ever waivered in his commitment.

I think Mitchell wants to be able to say he coached an SEC QB.

I always assumed State or ole miss would swoop in and steal him. Sounds like they just don't think he is good enough.

1. Agreed. Davis has been quoted as would love to partner with Leonard in college.
2. Agreed. His size is the primary deterrent. Perhaps ACT or GPA concerns? I don't know but would love to have him as a Tiger. Is you look at MSU and UM the fill their class with 60% or so from MS high Schools. That both had elite seasons this year and are after bigger fish. This allows us a chance to upgrade our talent as well (all boats rise with the tide). Our long term goal should be to develop relationships with HS coaches that may have pushed SEC in the past. Maybe they get ticked their kids are getting looked over by both MS college programs? They can't sign'em all.

According to TC, Henderson is a silent verbal to us and yes realistically what he did his senior year he is a 4* RB.

We are in a good spot with Henderson. He'll wait it out, but an OM/MSU offer isn't going to happen IMO.

Leonard could be getting some interest from State soon, but nothing as of yet. Brady is pushing hard for him to join the Tiger family

grades. that's always a problem with the Panola kids. they produce a lot of talent, but not in the classroom.
