Anyone who tries to scapegoat Pastner for this sad affair is a party to the reason why kids like this think that they are above the normal rules that only "saps" and "little people" follow.
I have no respect whatsoever for anyone who claims that in way, shape, or form that somehow CJP failed this punk kid.

You and most of us on this board have no idea the goings on within the team. Were there issues outside of the drama we all heard about? Probably. Did he bring it on himself? Probably. Outside of the obvious, anything else is pure speculation. Josh has done a good job keeping the players out of trouble off the court and the players are to be commended for that as well.
But is it possible that Josh's quirkiness plays differently on 18-22 year olds who spend nearly all of their time with the guy? Of course it is. That obviously doesn't condone Iverson's less than smart remarks via the horror that is social media but there have been many issues with some sort of communication disconnect over Josh's tenure here. Is that normal? Possibly but likely not this many. Part of being a good boss/coach is getting to know the makeup of the worker/player and knowing what buttons to push to maximize that specific persons potential. Maybe Josh does that and maybe he doesn't. None of us know but there certainly seems like there is some sort of disconnect. Maybe I'm wrong.
