Derrell Scott was the #3 overall APB recruit last year in the country. Everyone wanted him and he signed with the Tenn Vols. Got injured and was homesick. For a team that plays a wide open offense (heavier on the throw) we are unbelievably deep at the RB position.

He just enrolled in classes this week, and his transfer hasn't even been formally announced....so it isn't six months old. He was still at Tennessee a month+ ago. Stupid comment.

6 months was sarcasm but most fans knew this was coming several months ago.

Hopefully he can be one of the few transfers that actually lives up to the hype.

Just another reason why its not worth getting upset when some top local/regional recruits (football and basketball) sign with major out-of-state programs...as sometimes, it doesn't work and they eventually "come home" to finish their career.

Its never a bad idea to collect new talent...regardless where it comes from.

I think these big time transfers don't pan out more often than not. If they were that big time, they wouldn't transfer.

We, Cincy, were two for two this year. Jeff Luc and Gunnar Kiel helped out our team enormously. Over the years, it seems that more work out than not. The rule seems to be if they make it to campus, they work out.

We've had some transfers really crap the bed too and never see the field. I guess it's more hit or miss than more one way or the other.

Well Tennessee is always stocked at RB with two more big RBs coming this year

Jonathan Williams. He would've been an all-time great here, IMO.
