If you are right, I expect you are, I will be embarrassed for JMU alum. A nebulous vision statement offered after years of alum begging for athletics communication is just sad.
If the vision is a bunch of trite predictable BS, CAA4Lyfe is written between the lines in bold font sized 36.
I rather Alger say "CAA4Lyfe, f#ck U Purplehazed, get over it..." in place of what we have gotten for years.

That's what Rose said and we've never given him any relief. Why should Alger do the same? Would you really let go if he did? I will say, that I thought Rose's decision was bad and not the best thing for JMU, but at least I knew where he stood and no point in addressing it any further.

Well, doesn't look like we'll see it this week. Unless they do the usual "hit publish, leave for the weekend, no comment" thing.

Yes, I would let go...of checking football and mbb scores, caring if JMU beats Elon, buying season tickets and traveling all day Sat...I would always love JMU and I'd probably send a few bucks to the COB but I could finally stop caring about JMU sports with formal acknowledgment from the admin that they no longer, maybe never did care either...

RE: Athletics Strategic Plan
Madizone started freezing on me last night and I got pissed and decided to check out my connection a little. I'm usually between 30-35mbps and I was getting download speeds of 5-7mbps. So, I called my ISP (Verizon fios) and they claimed I was on a heavily used "channel" and switched it and voila, Madizone worked fine and my speed was back to normal. I told the guy that didn't make any sense as I'm on cable, not DSL where you're sharing a connection with a bunch of other people but he didn't understand it. I didn't push it, I just wanted to get off the phone and catch the end of the game. But, I have to say in this case it wasn't their fault, really. I will say that 7mbps should be plenty to stream a basketball game. I'm not sure what the hell they're doing. I say cancel it and go back to Neulion. It actually works.

When you are using cable internet, you are sharing bandwidth with others, which can adversely affect your download speeds. DSL does not share bandwidth with other users. Probably why you're speeds fluctuate with cable.

I guess my telecom memory has gone to **** then and I had it backwards. The question I did ask him is if someone is using a crazy amount of bandwidth downloading movies or something on BitTorrnet, do you not throttle them so as to not crush everyone else? He said they did but I found that hard to believe based on the numbers.

Never-the-less as you stated 5 - 7 mbps is plenty to get the job done. I always go back to facts, everything else streams just fine. I will admit that many times I can be watching a stream on XFINITY just fine, but when they go to a commercial produced in HD, my picture will buffer as Madizone does.

That's true, it's literally the only thing I stream that doesn't stream just fine. I've never even had another reason to check my connection speed.
