ODAF Donations
Im sure everyone knows by now that there is a bill floating around that could potentially hurt us moving forward with athletics. While I think its BS it still needs to be taken seriously. Therefore yesterday I contributed the first of many donations to the ODAF. I graduated in the class of 2011, therefore my contributions are not a lot but I believe every little bit counts.

Im sure most of you that are on here already contribute but I think its important to get the word out now so everyone is donating to absorb this hit that we may take.

RE: ODAF Donations
I would challenge the people on here to join the 110% club. If you gave $1000 last year, give $1100 next time. I think these admins, coaches and players are worthy of our support. I was proud that the 50,000 in 50 days program exceeded expectations. Following ODU athletics has never been more fun.

RE: ODAF Donations
GREAT JOB and THANKS!
It's absolutely essential that anybody who cares - gives whatever they can give. Don't think small donations don't matter. In fact, that is what ODU wants most - more donors period. When comparing our program's giving trends to ECU - it goes like this. ECU has many more donors with a much smaller average donation. ODU has fewer donors with a much larger average donation. ECU would LOVE to have our average donation amount and the number of LARGE donors we have. We would love to have as many donors as they have - including and especially small donors. I think part of the problem is perception among the fan base. I think there are a lot people who think if they can't give say - $2000 a year - it doesn't matter. When in fact ODU would love to greatly increase the number of donors who give $250-$500 a year. We just need more people filling the pot with whatever they can do. Think of this. 250 NEW donors giving just $250 a year = $62,500 a year! 500 NEW donors giving $500 a year = $250,000 a year! It all adds up folks. Just do what you can do but do something if you want to have a greater stake in Old Dominion's future.

Good work! The 50/50 campaign was great. I also appreciated the extra priority points. They'll come in handy for football seating. :)

RE: ODAF Donations
And, you can break your donation down into monthly increments charged to your debit or credit card.. Donate $1000 and it's about $84 @month. That's not going out for lunch twice a week or not going out for dinner twice a month. The reports say the drop in gas prices are saving families an average of $750 a year. That's a monthly donation of $62.50 monthly or one tank of gas at the old over $3 @ gallon price.

Well done, CMett003!! I'm a 2013 grad who donated enough to jump the line and get tailgating passes my first year as a donor. I doubled my donations in year 2 (2015) as a young alum, as did my wife (who is a 2013 alum). We may have a lot more student loans than the older alums, but we also have better starting pay thanks to those earlier grads. It's time to give back and thank ODU for the opportunities given to us thanks the education we received at this great institution.

RE: ODAF Donations
I increased my donation this year by $200. Comes off my debit card each month. Fortunately I can afford this. Why? Because of my degrees earned at ODU.
