Sun Belt tonight
GaSou looks for real as they beat ULL tonight to go 11-3 and 4-1, tied for first place in the conference. ASU wins at ASU (AppSt) so we are left in the cellar by ourselves. We'll be playing first place Monroe if they hold on to their lead against Troy tonight. Normally will always take a split, but we need to win the next two road games.

Officially, App State is last because you guys beat them, and you two and troy are in last. But don't count my Red Wolves out in this race for last, we're pretty bad ourselves.
App shot less than 30 percent from the field and we won by 9 points.

GaSou drew 4300 tonight. I would assume that's the high for a conference game so far this year. Still think GaSt wins the league and GaSou looks like they will be in the top 4. So while, AppSt is bad, our new additions are doing just fine. GaSou is in first place, and Texas State and GaSt are both a half game back. GaSou was a great add for football- looks like they may be a lot better in basketball than I expected. I'm pretty sure they have a very solid baseball program as well. Realignment has hurt us most in women's hoops.

There is a very real chance that Georgia Southern might win the league in football, men's basketball, and baseball. They'll be top 3 in baseball this year for sure...maybe better with the Cajuns down a bit.
Realignment only hurt Women's basketball...we replaced two very good programs with okay Texas State and App State programs and awful Georgia State and Georgia Southern programs.

AppSt not being eligible apparently won't help us much. Have to believe we can beat out Troy, AppSt, and hopefully USA (if we beat them there on Monday). That leaves us to battle you guys for the 7 and 8 spots. However, if we don't, at least, split on this road trip all bets are off with regard to us making it to New Orleans.

Yean, I'm not ready to claim we're a certain no go for Lafayette until I see us play Troy and you guys. We beat South already in Mobile...so there is an advantage on that end.

4300? Is Chris reporting the attendance figures for them?
