Congrats guys. I think you guys should make the following your mantra.

1) The Students have no confidence in Watts
2) The Faculty has no confidence in Watts
3) The City has no confidence in Watts

As a result, Watts cannot lead UAB.

Ray's last-gasp effort *may* have been to deny a quorum. He couldn't get enough senators to stay away.

Some people put their careers and livelihoods on the line for this. Be sure to thank them.

This is a day to be proud of your university.

I just sent this e-mail to the UAB NAS Board:

In light of all other stackholder organizations on campus at UAB voting No Confidence in Ray Watts, I call on the UAB National Alumni Society Board of Directors to revise their statement and express "No Confidence in Ray Watts continues until our concerns are addressed." Then list the bullet points presented to the Board by the rank and file members of the UAB National Alumni Society.

Chap epps says more than 2/3 faculty senate approved both resolutions. Only needed simple majority to pass. @myfoxal

It was a secret ballot, but Chad Epps said that both resolutions got better than two thirds and only needed a simple majority.

I heard faculty members discuss that they were afraid that SACS comments had been filed, probably by alumni or supporters, and they feared the repercussions would hurt the university. According to them, if SACS received a specific comment they would have to investigate that matter in particular.

Oh, I hope that they are stupid enough to do that. It's just about the only thing that they could do that would make the #FreeUAB movement double in size overnight and bring in SACS like avenging angels.
