RE: Ohio State's performance in the Title game......
The Buckeyes are young and will be serious contenders next year.
The SEC is being supplanted by the B1G. Don't be shocked if the B1G expands to 16 first and grabs Missouri and Arkansas.
The Big XII got more egg thrown in their face with TCU ending up #3 in final AP poll. Texas's immense greed is hurting that conference. It's fairly clear conferences need to play that championship game to be truly considered for the playoff. Expanding to a dozen teams has got to be a topic of heated discussion in that conference. Failure to accept reality means they basically forfeit any legitimate hope of having a team in the playoffs.
It's gonna be a fascinating off season.

Great stat about Ohio State recruiting players from Ohio. Who knew?
DYK: For OSU's 2015 class...number of recruits from Ohio is 11, but the 2nd most popular state for OSU recruits is Florida with 4 (as of now).

Well Urban does have an SEC background. So winning in a classy way is not a strong point.
It's that Florida thing.

I'm probably overreacting, but that touchdown really soured my opinion of Ohio State at the end. I thought it was extremely classless and unnecessary.

The only mistake the Buckeyes made last night was not running 15 in the A gap until Oregon stopped it.

Bottom line: BIGXII desperately needs to infultr8 other regions for recruiting advantages; such as: B1G10 and SEC territory....Bodes well for Cincinnati as well as Memphis!!!!!
As well as this game is being played in BIGXIIs backyard and the support from Ohio is tremendous here! Has to have a major impact as Ohio is "In tha house"! way to represent OHIO!
The Big 12 commissioner was born in Iowa..another gr8 reason.
Funny! Immense talent in Ohio and B1G country......BIGXII has to tap into to even compete within even their own conference......Texas is no longer the sexy University to drive the BIGs $$$$ cow Longhorn Network! Mock if you must, but this game shows that Ohio is a "player"! Wow! I like how I did that!
This guy owns a business.

Game changed on the first dropped pass on third down. If Oregon had of scored and gone up 14 then OSU would have been deflated emotionally. Especially if they came down the next time and completed the second dropped pass and went on and scored again.
Those two dropped passed and the failed 4th down try totally changed the game.
Agree about those two dropped passes being momentum killers for Oregon. However, I think the physical dominance of OSU, combined with Oregon's key missing players, would have ultimately resulted in a win for OSU. I don't like OSU and was pulling for Oregon, but I'll have to admit that the best team (or at least the one who wanted it the most) won last night. Congrats to Ohio State.
Hard to argue missed players when Ohio State was down to their 8th quarterback, or so it seems.

^ That's the kind of dominance that The Longhorns are accustomed to.....having immense depth and being able to domin8 for seasonal stretches....That's no longer the case! Texas can't domin8 their own conference...The defection by T A&M is sending players to the SEC...FSU is getting players from TX;Ohio State as well and TCU & Baylor are getting players that the Longhorns need...The days are over whereas the recruits are waiting at the door for Texas longhorn recruiters to send letters or call or knock at the door.... Obviously, by BCS standards, BIGXII has little to no leverage/weight/chitspa/cohones/machismo when it comes to the National Championship,,,,Baylor,TCU just do not carry enough weight IE " tradition"....But dominance has shifted in the BIGXII, Texas cannot beat the likes of Baylor or TCU....these teams will own UT for the foreseeable future, hence the writing is on the wall....The commissioner, or whatever he's called doesn't want to pull the fire alarm as it will show incompetence...Or, the plan is to suck the Longhorn Network $$$ dry while simultaneously disregarding and avoiding the real issues

I have less of a problem with it because they did it to a team that essentially does that to everyone.

Well, almost in defense of Urban...he knows he never had class (especially at UF), and he doesn't really care that others know that.
Oregon was not calling time out...but Urban definitely wanted to rub it in (he wanted his star RB Elliott to get a 4th TD).

I thought they would take a knee and noticed that they let the play clock run down as far as they could but the qb never came to the center and I thought back to how Ole Miss did that against us, with a pass, and how we took a knee in a lot of games this year.
