ESPN3
I have DirecTV. It is not on the list of TV providers on ESPN. Is there any way I can set up to watch ESPN3 on my computer? I am not technologically savvy, thanks for any help you can provide.

ESPN3 is not a TV Channel. It's purely internet. To watch you must use the interwebs.

If you're not a subscriber to ESPN, ESPN3 will not work for you unless you log on with somebody else's info. You can always go rogue and steal it from the internet.

RE: ESPN3
You cannot get ESPN3 with Dtv - you need to switch to cable to register an account with ESPN and then have access. Once you have access you can watch it on your computer, apple TV, or any connected appliance (DVD players) with the ESPN app,

That was my issue a little over a year ago. So while I really liked Dtv - I switched to comcast so I could get ESPN3.

I have DirecTV, which is not one of ESPN's anointed carriers. But this is just for ESPNgo on your phone, which I cannot get. On my computer, I just go to ESPN3.com and I have no trouble seeing the games.

^this. I have wideopenwest (WOW) and until recently, it wasn't on the ESPN List. I used to be able to watch on espn3.com. Couldn't watch it on the app until WOW was just added.

DF, I thought you had WOW also?

I used to have WOW internet, but now I have AT&T because we had reliability issues with WOW.

ESPNgo for your phone is based on your TV carrier. Since DirecTV has not been blessed and anointed by ESPN, I can't get ESPN3 on my phone.

Just to be clear you don't need your TV provider to be on the list of approved, you can also get it if your internet provider is on the approved list also. I have Directv and have Mediacom internet, and am able to get ESPN3 by logging into Mediacom. I had to get Directv because Dish took Fox News Channel off the air 05-stirthepot Sorry Robert, I so could not resist that.

I am in the same situation as MD. I have Directv for television, but my internet provider is WOW. That way I have the both Espn3 for Huskie games, and Sunday Ticket for the NFL.

RE: ESPN3
What's the difference between ESPN3 and WatchESPN? If I try to go to a ESPN3 website it takes me to WatchESPN. I know the games that are only on ESPN3 I'm able to watch on WatchESPN. I don't have ESPN/ESPN2 on my cable package so I can't watch those games on WatchESPN, except later as a replay. Unless there's some way around that.

Here are the work arounds I have used so far...

Say the game is on ESPNU but the previous game is still on when the NIU game kicksoff. ESPN will put the game on ESPN3.com for a short time but if you click on the ESPN3.com link you will have access for the whole game.

Some of the better games have the Sky Cam on the ESPN3.com feed. This is actually a fantastic feed because you get ZERO commentary! All you hear is the game. The big down side is no replays or explanation of calls or details on injuries.

The third work around I did for the Bowl game. It was on ESPN3.com in Spanish so I just muted it. I do have full WatchESPN access on my cell for some reason so I used the sound from the phone since the radio was a good 60 sec ahead of the video.

RE: ESPN3
According to Sattelite Guys.com the ESPN3 deal with DirecTV is the most robust ESPN3 agreement. SEC and Longhorn Network included as well. Should be up and running by February. DTV also added Buzzer Beater if you have Sports Package. That is their Red Zone channel for College Hoops, very cool!
