RE: Final AP Poll
Every single SEC West team received votes. Wow. Has that ever happened before for any division at the end of the year?

Expanding that out. 3 other MW teams received votes in the final poll. Quite nice for a G5 conference in the new CFP era. Might already setup the MW to be the G5 conference rep for the Access Bowl.
Boise St from other way to early polls for 2015 have them in the mid-teen's.

I see TCU / OSU swapping #1 or #2 early in the season.

How did TCU finish so high? I thought you had to play a CCG to be considered good. 07-coffee3

I guess the AP doesn't think much of the SEC. After all, the Sagarin rankings have 8 SEC teams in the Top 15.

Sagarin ranking is a joke. When you start a mathematical equation with mathematical bias then the findings will be biased as well. The AP is a joke and now even the computers are a joke. Bias is bias and even computers are victim to it because all of the input that goes into them seem to have been placed with bias.

The only value the AP Poll now holds is that it will get to show final rankings. They should thank the Committee for that handout.

All rankings are a joke. Including the CFP rankings.

That's because in 1963 the AP poll only listed the Top 10 teams. Our 1963 team finished 14th in the UPI poll that year (and deservedly so). They posted a 9-0-1 record that featured 5 shut-outs (one was over #3 Ole Miss).

Sure, the entire ACC was in the NCAA tournament when I was a kid. Oh, that was basketball. : )

How is an 8-5 Auburn team 22? How many of the voters had Auburn in the top 20 or top 15?! They avoided a 4 game losing streak to end the season by beating Samford in between their final 4 games! They shouldn't have any votes.

But who would you put in their place?

I figured Nebraska would be in and Memphis at 26, but couldn't see anyone else. Pretty much everyone else has 5 losses or lost in their bowl.

Dammit Colorado, we almost had every PAC South team ranked.

I sure wish we would go back to just ranking the Top 10 teams (actually, I would prefer we not try to rank them at all, but that goes against the American character). Anybody who thinks he can distinguish between the #20 team and the #25 team is just nuts.

No doubt. On the positive side, not bad for a "down" year. Who'd have thought that a G5 team with three losses and no P5 wins could be ranked at the end of the season? Says a lot about what voters think of the AAC.

Can you imagine if a few other decent schools programs like TCU, Utah, and BYU were in this conference? People would surely respect that conference :/
