Interesting to see how your new coach will integrate his style.

We were 13-1 just a few years ago, so it can be done, and I imagine there aren't many more likely to pull it off than a Broyles Award winning National Champion.

Time will tell, but nothing to date has seems to indicate otherwise.

Between hiring what is so far an impressive staff while preparing for the 2 most important games of his career and the season he has proven more than capable so far. Beating the #1 and #2 teams along the way.

With the talent on the roster already and whatever recruiting rabbits he can pull out of his hat I think he has a good starting point.

Bingo. And it's not like Tony Levine didn't have the talent to win consistently either. He just made some bad hires, and it showed. I'm more confident we'll be a double-digit win team again.

Houston cant attract anywhere near the same talent of Ohio State. Plus Herman doesnt have Urban Meyer to hold his hand anymore.

I could retort that Herman's offenses have been productive everywhere he's been but your rep is -18 so I'll just leave it at that.

While the first part is brutally true.... but we can get the 75% in our state left after the big dogs get theirs and that would be as good or better than 90% of the rest of the country.

Meyer didn't hold his hand anywhere else he was and succeeded. I'd slow your roll there buddy.....

That would be fantastic and I do agree Miller transfers but I think it will be to another P5 school.

RE: Will Houston be able to replicate Ohio State?
If he got the same level of talent at UH, then I guess it would translate, but having said that, he doesn't need to have anywhere near the level of talent OSU has to compete successfully in the AAC. If, on the other hand, we're talking about your new coach winning a national title then the answer would be no. Ohio State is on the same level, if not above now, than all the P5 teams in Texas, including the University of Texas. Historically, UH has not been on the same level of playing field as UT, A & M,TT and Baylor, there is no reason to think that will change now. Sure, you may win a game here or there, but you won't be able to compete on a national level consistently. Just my opinion from up here in Ohio where Cincy is in the same boat as Houston.

Ehh............ Its fair to say we didn't dominate them all but we are:

61-66-7 against the current B12. We have been pretty much a .500 team versus the current B12 in the past. Not Ohio state but not a team that was always in the cellar of the SWC.

We had our high and we had our lows, but to say we were never "same level of playing field " is a stretch.

You fight the same perception nationally as UC does, being in the same league sure allowed you a lot more games but I'm talking the last 20 years.

Yeah it is an uphill battle and even if we were in the B12 I don't think we would ever be in the same breath as Ohio State to be honest.

That said we have proven (as has Cincy) that given an even playing field we can and do compete. With both schools displaying a level of commitment to the sport like never before that performance would be just as good if not better given a second turn at the big table.

We'll have to wait and see. Will Muschamp at Florida, the current coach at Indiana, Mike London at Virginia among others, were all supposed to be "can't miss" candidates after having been top assistants at major schools. But it often doesn't work out.

No reason for this, like I said , you win an occasional game just like UC does. You still in diapers spouting this BS, you don't know me and trust me, you don't want to go one on one.
