Wes Smith has time to explain what he is doing and why he came up with that crap. Maybe he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and we pull back. But, if it becomes obvious who his master is, and it isn't the alumni, its time to reclaim the NAS the best we can.

The other potential result is leaving the NAS.

Leaving the NAS has to be a very last resort - Ray scored some points by using his NAS lapdogs to parrot him, then claiming it as "alumni support" (cf. that pukening example of craven cowardice read out at the December 9th Faculty Senate meeting). We need to turn this lapdog into a junkyard attack dog, and turn that legitimacy he's fostered back onto him. Besides, I don't want my fifty bucks to go to waste, and I damn sure don't need a Blaze-less NAS t-shirt as my only reward.

No one on their side has our passion: they have money and inertia, greed and fear. They have no honor, they have no moral courage. We can defeat them. We fight.

We need to have pushed out the resolutions voted on by the audience to the media as the true voice of the alumni.
