Any MAC teams hosting P5 schools for football in the future?
Just asking out of curiosity. I'm not aware of any of our teams being scheduled for anything as of now, Miami was set to host Minnesota in 2019 but that was changed to a road game for whatever reason.

Can probably add BYU in 2020, even though they're technically not P5.

I'm guessing UT will add more. So far only 1 home game (2 away) in 2016 & 2017, 2 home (1 away) in 2018. So we don't have that much scheduling too far ahead.

EMU hosts MSU in 2020 as part of the series where MSU visited CMU and will visit WMU (2015) and EMU.

We host P5 teams all the time! Like Minnesota. Nine years ago.

And coming up we have, uh, well, is Monmouth P5?

Had Iowa State in 2009.
But agree about the future schedules. Besides Marshall this fall, the only FBS team on the schedule to come to Dix Stadium is Georgia Southern (in 2018).

I would think BYU would be considered a P5 Independent like Notre Dame... They do not factor in the CFP poll for the Access Bowl...

RE: Any MAC teams hosting P5 schools for football in the future?
BYU is not a P5. They were not when they were in the MWC, there was at least one P5 conference that made it clear that they were not considered a P5 opponent, and just going independent does not make you one (granted it does show that just doing that does seem to fool some people into thinking that way so a good strategy on their part).

None of the independents count towards the access bowl so by that logic UMass must be a P5 when they go independent.

RE: Any MAC teams hosting P5 schools for football in the future?
BYU seems to have everything that P5 teams have, so I'm not sure what the distinction really is, other than that they aren't in a conference.
