I've not heard anyone that didn't like it...

And dont you think it makes since to look medieval? Do you know anything about ancient Troy and all?

I like it better than our sword and shield... It's simple and to the point. Much like Tennessee T

I'd prefer a reflective black helmet with the cardinal facemask. I'd also like to see us wear the black pants with cardinal jerseys and the cardinal pants with black jerseys as our normal attire.

I know Troy fell before medieval times. I've seen the movie, read some of the books. I just don't get the sword "T." on your helmet. Think a Trojan helmet or something would work better. But the rest of your unis are good.

It is ok for someone not to like our new helmet... You post it for people's opinions and when someone doesn't like it you get all defensive about it. We don't even know if this is going to be our regular helmets our if we will just be wearing the for a single game"if at all.

When we changed our name from Troy State University to Troy University, of course new branding had to come along with that. The powers in charge decided to go a different route than the "Trojan helmet" like what you see with USC, and Michigan State with their Spartan. They decided to use the sword and shield logo instead to be a bit more unique.

Over time, more and more of our fan base have gravitated to just the T-sword. I wasn't a fan of just the T-sword at first, but it's slowly grown on me more and more. It's even made me pay attention to just how many other universities use just a single letter as their primary sports logo and how effective they are with it. Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan...to name a few. All schools with a lot of tradition and history in collegiate football.

While having just a T in the shape of a sword isn't groundbreaking, it's easy and is effective enough.

I like the sword T. It's unique, had you gone with the Trojan, it would have been too similar to M State and USC. So for Troy, a good choice . . .
