Just because you say something doesn't make it true. The "you are intolerant because you do not tolerate my intolerance" talking point isn't valid. You can use it all you want, but it's a big reason why younger people laugh at people like you. Even moderates that lean conservative don't even agree with this talking point.

Okay. I just read the article, and then read the thread. What the heck is the issue here?

ABC published an article. LGBT groups are upset because they think the show portrays that being gay is a choice, and not a natural-born occurrence.

IMO, the LGBT groups swing and miss here because the article or the television show never insinuates that the men's "gayness" isn't natural. I'd actually argue that the show portrays the men as naturally being gay, but choosing not to act on those desires for the sake of something bigger than themselves, whatever that may be. Whether it's religion, acceptance, or just what one of them described as, "wanting to be called daddy".

I'm naturally, very heterosexual. I naturally, wouldn't mind jumping in bed with every chick I find attractive. However, I don't act on all those desires and practice a bit of self control and temper my desires. Is that not similar? I do it for many reasons. I don't want STDs, acting in such a way is morally irresponsible to me based on cultural and religious ideals, and my wife would beat the shiz out of me.
