RE: Restaurants
I went to Sully's quite a few times for the company and to hang out on the deck, but never liked the food. What do you mean by "was going down hill fast"? Haven't been there in at least 10 years.

In April, I saw the new manager curse out the lead singer of the hired band in front of everyone. The last time we went was in early May. We sat at the table they sat us for 20 minutes before a drink order was taken. After drinks were delivered, we waited another 15 minutes without a food order being taken before deciding to pay the tab and eat elsewhere. It wasn't that busy either. I shouldn't have to work hard to give you my money. And lately, if you weren't at the bar, they made it difficult.

What a shame. Between the bands, nachos, chowder, and small pitchers, O'Sullivans Wharf holds some good memories. However, it was obvious the committment to the business had fallen off recently.

RE: Restaurants
There is an article on PilotOnline today about their last day in business. They were evicted and are possibly headed to litigation with the landlord.

IMO, it sounds like a mix of failure to pay rent and a landlord who sees the rising value of the property, hence the apprehension to get in a long-term lease with a current tenant. The NoCo area is surging right now and I would expect the landlord wants to rent the place at a much higher price or sell while the iron is hot.

I never had anything there except nachos and beer and they both ruled every time! lots of memories.

Met Joe last night at bayou bugaloo and they were catering the vip area and I started asking. He's a cook at sullies and I had no idea they had the other place and that's been the focus of owner.

O'Sullivans is currently getting a makeover and will be called Mack's Barge. New owners though, apparently the same guy who owned/operated Keagans and Jack Quinn's.

Went to O'Sullivans any times during my days at ODU. Loved the Trash Can Lid of Nachos.
